The vision of the AGRICULTURE NETWORK is captured by the old story that distinguishes between giving a man a fish versus teaching him to fish and how to market his extra fish. Giving East African populations a meal for a day does not equate to giving those people the knowledge and ability to feed and earn for themselves an income for the rest of their lives. The AG Network believes that agricultural knowledge for development and markets engenders a life-sustaining profession that can enhance cultural and economic viability. Harnessing the power of digital television and radio international communications via Internet, social media, and satellite, the AG Network will be working with governments, individuals, academics and other partners to create an African network empowering the East African populations to improve and sustain life.
